Authentic food, great service and very very friendly staff. The chef (Javier) even came out to chat with us as there were two Chileans among us. We loved our dinner here and hope y'all will try it out too!

Javier's Latin Cuisine Restaurant
The owners/employees here are good people and very friendly. However, Javier's has gone down hill over the last 2 years. Chef Javier was wonderful but he doesn't actually do much cooking anymore and it is now done by hired help in the back, and this has resulted in a noticeable decline in the quality of the food and the portions provided in recent years. The menu is also over-priced, particularly for the amount of food you get.

Stopped here on our vacation in Comox. Really awesome one of a kind place. We had the fried yucca and plantain in Colombian sauce and veggie empanadas for appetizers and it was all delicious. For main I had the pork kebabs and they were so juicy and tender, covered in really nice spices. The huancaina sauce on the side was so good and something I've never tried before. We took the flan caramel to go for dessert and it was also fantastic. The staff were very lovely as well. Great service. I wish we lived in town because I would love to go back and try all the other mains.

Amazing!Ok so I can be very scathing with reviews... And this is no different!This place is amazing! Absolutely amazing! The food tastes spectacular and the presentation is fantastic! Try the starter menu! All of the starters as a main meal! You will not be disappointed!Margarita is well balanced, with just the right hint of lime and tequila!Fabulous staff!Do not be put off by the appearance outside, amazingly friendly and professional throughout!!Keep it up guys!!Definitely a gladiator thumbs up for this one!!!

After a long day at the fair our family enjoyed an exquisite meal including tasty chicken empenadas and potatoes for appetizers. Our main dishes were juicy and delicious. The deep fried ice cream was so good, the coating on the ice cream is out of this world. We will definitely be back the next time we are up island! Javier’s is a gem!

Reservations are recommended. Owners & Staff are very welcoming & knowledgeable about the menu. Our drinks (both featured) were very good and our food was delicious. Kelly was our wonderful server and very friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Met at the door with a friendly face and prompt seating (probably helped that it was a Wednesday night). Wait staff were on the ball, even watching them reaccomodate a couple that had to change tables 4 times for whatever reason? People are way too picky, not the fault of the restaurant. We needed a bit of salt, asked for it and guess what, they provided it! Pork kabob was delicious, we also shared the enchiladas, food was perfectly done. Would recommend to anyone in the area, hard to beat a well run, family restaurant that actually cares when you show up.

The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. The menu has alot of selection and very different tastes. I will be back to try some more interesting entres. The dining room has a nice atmosphere. You need to have a reservation due to popularity which is due to good food.

Went here with my partner for an early dinner, the gentleman who served us (I think maybe the owner) was the most wonderfully kind human! Full of personality. My only complaint is that the food lacked salt? But I guess I could have added that myself!!
